LARMOR is a neutron scattering instrument that is now partially granted by a “NWO groot” proposal and will be built at the UK neutron source ISIS. The basis is a competitive future proof SANS instrument fully paid, developed and run by ISIS. The Dutch contribution will be a significantly increase of its functionality by exploiting a broad range of Larmor labeling methods in the space and time domain. Dutch scientists will have direct access to 30 days of neutron beam time per year over 10 years. For more information visit the weblog.
The TU Delft started 2010 developing a neutron diffractometer with a novel design, which should combine high resolution and neutron luminosity. The project PEARL is now at an advanced stage and can be followed at the weblog.
